Top 4 Download periodically updates software information of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard 10.6.8 full version from the publisher, but some information may be slightly out-of-date.
Mac OS X Snow Leopard is finally here and there's plenty for Mac fans to be excited about. I'm Jason Parker from cnetdownload.com and this is a First Look for Snow Leopard.
Many of Snow Leopard's features were announced at this year's worldwide Developers' Conference, and now that we've had a chance to try them out we think it's definitely worth the $29 upgrade price. Behind the interface tweaks, Apple says new technologies like 64 bit Core Apps, Grand Central Dispatch and Open CL Support all make your system and applications run faster than before.
Let's take a look at some of the cool things you can do with the latest big CAD OS. Upgrades to the Finder are mostly under the hood with a 64 bit boost in performance and Grand Central Dispatch, but the Finder also receives some interface enhancements. The Zoom slider makes it so you can see previews before launching an application. You also can preview both movies and multipage PDS letting you make sure you've got the right file before opening. With Snow Leopard find the right window has never been easier now that Expose is accessed right from within the Dock. When your desktop is full of clutter, simply click and hold on an apps icon on the Dock to bring up preview thumbnails of every window open in that application.
From there, you can hit the spacebar for a larger preview or hit the tab key to see open Windows in other applications. Stacks also got a much needed upgrade. In Leopard, only some of your apps showed up in Stacks and clicking on a folder sent you to the Finder. Now Stacks comes with a scrollbar for easy browsing of all your apps and folders open right up so you can get to the files you need quickly. QuickTime X Apple's Media player got some major tweaks in Snow Leopard as well. Now when you play a movie and move your mouse outside the window, the interface fades away quickly to give you a more immersive video viewing experience. When watching a movie you can click the new Share button to convert your movie for iPod, iPhone or Apple TV.

And QuickTime converts the video to work best on your chosen device. You also can now record video from your web cam, audio or just the action on your screen with a few simple clicks. Those with the iPhone GS will recognize the new trimming feature in Quick Time X, letting you grab just the video content you want.
Exchange support, one of the long waited features for those who bring their Macs to work, let's you easily connect with Exchange servers to grab e-mail, use global context and create meetings and appointments using the mail app and iCal. It is important to note that these features will only work with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 so check to see what your company is currently using. Overall with the speed boost from Apple's latest technologies, rewritten core apps to use them in useful interface enhancements across the board, Snow Leopard is a worthy upgrade for all Mac users.
